Watkins Glen, N.Y. (June 24, 2026) … The IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup (IMEC) returns to the track for the third of five rounds this weekend at the 3.4-mile, 11-turn Watkins Glen International road course in the Finger Lakes region of New York state.
The No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 of Italian Davide Rigon and Brazilian Daniel Serra will be back in the cockpit with the Houston, Texas-based American team ready for battle in the GTD Pro class.
Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series race will feature 54 cars, including 12 GTD-Pro class entries.
The Risi Competizione team has had success at the historic Watkins Glen circuit since the team’s inception in 1998. Its history includes one victory (in 2002) and four second-place finishes (2023, 2022, 2004, 2002 with a two-car team). Brazilian driver Daniel Serra has captured the pole position in the GTD-Pro class in both 2024 and 2023 for the Risi Ferrari team.
The first two rounds of the 2026 IMSA IMEC series produced uncommon DNFs for the usually successful No. 62 Risi Ferrari team, winners of the inaugural IMSA Michelin Endurance Team Championship in 2022.
This will be the fourth time Rigon and Serra have paired in the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo for Risi Competizione Team Owner Giuseppe Risi at Watkins Glen (2024, 2023, 2022). Risi did not field a car last season and instead formed a technical alliance with the DragonSpeed Ferrari team. Rigon was a co-driver with Albert Costa last year to a third-place finish at The Glen, while Serra drove for Conquest Racing to a 10th place finish.
Rigon has four previous appearances at the upstate New York circuit, three with Risi that resulted in two second-place finishes (2022, 2023). Serra has competed six times with the same top finishes of second with Risi Competizione in 2022 and 2023.

Davide Rigon, driver No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3:
“I am very happy to be back in the U.S. with Risi and competing at Watkins Glen this weekend. It’s a really nice circuit to drive and the team does a good job on the car prep. It is always an interesting and competitive race in IMSA and at Watkins Glen. We have been on the podium a few times here so I hope this time it will be on the top step.”
Daniel Serra, driver No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3:
“I like Watkins Glen and have been fast here in qualifying and in the race. It’s a super nice circuit and the competition is always strong in IMSA. We have been so close to winning and always fight for victory, but I hope we can have a strong performance this year again and maybe finally achieve a win.”
The race start is at 12:10 p.m. (Eastern) on Sunday, June 28, and the race will be televised live on Peacock with flag-to-flag coverage. Live streaming begins at 12:00 noon for the full six hours on IMSA.com/TVLive (outside U.S.). Qualifying will be carried live on Peacock and IMSA.com on Saturday, June 27 at 3:30 p.m.
