Lazzaro designed his helmet when
he was racing go-karts – without bodywork on the karts,
entries are identified by the driver, so he wanted a helmet that
would attract attention.
"I've always been a mechanic. Since I was a little kid,
I enjoyed taking things apart. When I was really young, my mom
had an exercise
bike and I took it apart. Of course, I didn't put it back together!
I learned the importance of setup from karting. If I didn't have
the money to have the best tires, the best motor or whatever,
I could make up for it on the best setup."
"Having driven a little bit of everything, it's definitely
made me more experienced and more rounded as a driver. I feel
like
I can go in and talk as intelligently to an engineer in IndyCar
racing as I can to a crew chief in Winston Cup. They're two different
disciplines and two different types of people, but at the end
of the day, they still speak the same language."
Anthony feels his dream house would be "at least 20 acres
and a log cabin, with a go-kart track in the back" |
